The Exclusive Yellow

From this month, famous department store Selfriges is celebrating its 100th birthday and is marking the occasion by hosting a colossal festival at its Oxford Street store. Shoppers will be entertained by a programme of fashion, music, caberet, workshops and the Selfridgettes, a troupe of beautiful people dressed in yellow.
You have to go and visit this week or weekend the new concept store at Selfridges on Oxford Street: Exclusive Yellow… Everything in the store is about Yellow! You will find iconic classic such as stunning Laboutin shoes with yellow peep toes, Marc Jacob bags, Moleskine notebook…
This big yellow festival will last until the 31st of May ’09.

What’s on…

Friday Music show

To kick off the birthday celebrations in original style, art-rocker extraordinaire Patrick Wolf will be performing in-store. Famed for his creative approach, Wolf can play more instruments than the average band put together. His unique vocals and writing skills have won over fans and critics alike. Supported by DJ Yellow.
Music starts from 6pm on Friday at the Yellow Café, lower Ground Floor, Oxford Street.

Fashion Saturday

His career reads like a who’s who of high fashion; Giles Deacon is a modern British fashion icon. His edgy taste has been the key to his overwhelming success, and it’s no different for music. The designer is a much in demand for music as for he is frocks. See the collections come to life in the fashion shows at Selfridges, with a trendy sound track to boot!
The fashion show starts from 12pm on Saturday, near the Central Escalator, Oxford Street.

The Cabaret Sunday

There is nothing understated about Sundays at Selfridges Oxford Street this May. You will see four different acts, including the gyrating skills of Marawa in an extraordinary display of hoola hoop mayhem. You will also be able to experience the dazzling dance display from Boogaloo Stu and Miss High Leg Kick. Witness their sassy dance routines, and the legendary 'high leg kicks'!
Cabaret starts at 2pm on Sunday at the Yellow Café, lower Ground Floor, Oxford Street.

Make your weekend becoming Yellow...
