Au claire de la lune...

...Mon ami Pierrot?

Of course not! I am not going to talk about the french song Au claire de la Lune but about the buzz of the week: New Moon.

Girls come down... Oh yes you are going to see a bit more of Robert Pattinson ...But first, for the gentlemen, I would like to explain what is New Moon.

New Moon is a young adult fantasy-romance novel by author Stephenie Meyer, and is the second book in the Twilight saga. According to Meyer, this book is about losing true love. The title refers to the darkest phase of the lunar cycle, indicating that New Moon is about the darkest time of the protagonist Bella's life.It was originally published in hardcover in 2006. An upcoming film adaptation is tentatively set for release on November 20, 2009.

Here is the official trailer:

My main goal is not to promote this new Twilight Saga chapter , but to understand why young people are getting crazy about it. Why the dark world of vampires is so captivating for them? I know and agreed that Robert Peterson is the major argument of the movie, but it cannot be the magical solution... We are talking about billion of dollars Baby!

As we all now a vampire represents the dark side of our society, they symbolize the immorality. So why are they so attractive and trendy now? I talked about this subject with a young girl last weekend and she told me (beside her true love for Robert) that she wants to be gifted and different like them, to be part of a special family. This is it? Young girls and boys want to be different than us. Are we so has been? In my opinion this saga is revealing a major problem of our society, that young people doesn't feel that they can find their place in our world.

Scary... As vampire!
